  So this project is fixing this issue by introducing ASM1184e PCIe 2.0 switch, a simple but good enough PCIe switch for CM4. And by the word “Fixing”, I mean opensource it. There are plenty of CM4 motherboard makers that do use PCIe switch, but none of them are truly open-sourced such that other people can copy and paste to their projects, and some of them are using expensive PCIe switch that doesn’t bring performance benefits.
